Bolgheri, Italy

You will make your way to Bolgheri via the Viale dei Cipressi. With more than 2,500 cypress trees, this three-mile road is a sight to behold and will put you in the perfect state of mind for your idyllic Tuscan vacation. Once you make it into town, head straight to Caffe della Posta to try one of the city’s red wines. These wines might not be as well-known as French Bordeaux, but it goes head-to-head in a taste test. Then, stop by Osteria Magona to enjoy the Tuscan-Maremman cuisine. After you tour the city, head five miles southeast to Bibbona. Bibbona is home to Relais Sant’Elena, which is the premier place to stay in the area. This fifteen-room estate will keep you feeling warm and cozy with stone fireplaces and canopy beds. Plus, it has pasta-making classes so that you can take some of Tuscany home with you at the end of your trip.
