Travel Tidbits for Your Cuban Vacation Sep 15, 2015 by Ashleigh (Awesome Escape Blogger)
Palm-fringed beaches and powder-fine white sands make Cuba a highly prized gem in the Caribbean. This communist nation has archipelagos and keys full of resort communities that play host to millions of tourists per year. With a diverse list of species of wildlife both on the land and in the water, a rich history full of Spanish treasure and many battles over the land itself. There's a little bit of something for everyone in Cuba. Here are a few tips to help you make the most out of your Cuban getaway whether you're in it for romance, a family vacation or fun in the sun with friends.
Research Your Hotel
Because you have no way of knowing if your hotel is as heavenly as the website makes it appear, try doing a little digging before clicking the 'book' button on hotel reservations. The most important thing you can do before booking a room at a resort in Cuba is research.
Look at review sites on the web for more honest opinions of what the hotels are like and which ones are best. Some websites even allow users to post photos of where they're staying –something you can benefit from if the hotel seems nice until you arrive and check in. Some hotels will also post what amenities they have and what things they cannot offer.
Everyone knows that all-inclusive vacation packages give you more bang for your buck, and this is especially true in a place like Cuba. All-inclusive resorts in communities like Varadero and the southern keys will offer packages that include all of your meals and drinks. As well as access to a huge list of activities to keep you entertained during your time in this tropical nation. Be sure to, again, research the package to ensure that you are getting everything you feel you should for the price of your package. Some resorts are for adults only or have fewer activities. You could also end up booking with an all-inclusive resort that shuttles you to another for nearly every activity.
