There is a coffee shop on every corner. Sometimes there are TWO coffee shops on every corner, and that’s okay because no one wants a long line-up. Cafés are perfect for getting work done or just getting your caffeine fix before a long day, but sometimes you’re looking for something a little more interesting than your average Starbucks. So, when you’re traveling head for these eclectic concept cafés that serve more than coffee. Are you ready to make your trip a little bit weirder?
1. Cereal Killer Café, London
When you crawl out of bed in the morning, all you want is a strong cup of coffee. But when you were a kid all you needed was a bowl of cereal! Let loose your inner child at Cereal Killer Café in London. Choose from 120 different types of cereal from around the world, 30 different kinds of milk, and 20 different toppings. Don’t worry it sells coffee too, as well as toast and pop-tarts for your weird friends who don’t like cereal, and it’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Twins Gary and Alan Keery opened the Cereal Killer Café in 2014 in East London. Similar stores in the US inspired them to create Cereal Killer Café, but no one has their originality or awesome design. Their fun and friendly café is in an old video store and old TVs still display cartoons like He-Man. The interior is decorated with bright colors and retro furnishings, full of nostalgia for the 80s and 90s. And don’t forget the merchandise! Cereal-themed necklaces, erasers, lighters, even lip balm, can all be yours. All part of a balanced breakfast, right?
